Command & Conquer: Generals | CNCNZ.com's Featured Maps (Page 2)
These are special maps that deserve their own section. Some are exclusive to CNCNZ.com and only the very best maps make it into this section. Take note of the following symbols to find out if you can use the map in multiplayer games as well as skirmish games.
 Map can be used in multiplayer games only, not designed for skirmish games.

To install the maps simply extract the contents of the downloaded .zip file to your \My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data\Maps\MAPNAME folder on your hard drive. The MAPNAME will of course be the name of the map. EG if a map was called "DesertStorm" you would extract contents of the .zip file to the \My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data\Maps\DesertStorm\ folder. Each zip file should be set up so the folder is created when you unzip it.

After War Peace V2

 This map is exclusive to CNCNZ.com
A 3 player multiplayer/skirmish map set in the peace sign. Each player has a Supply dock and Oil derrick to start with, further goodies can be found on the map and have to be fought for. Personally I find a little bit too large but for a first map it isn't bad. Updates in this new version are, removed more then 500 objects (from 775 to 270), this includes the center "town" which has been rebuilt to a desert oil refinery (including a hospital for those major oil rig accidents), updated way paths, lighting changed to an "early evening" setting.

Crossroads

 This map is exclusive to CNCNZ.com
A desert style 4 player skirmish map. Each base has 5 entrances, 1 SupplyDock and some small supply piles to start with. Across the map 4 OilDerricks, 1 (industructable) OilRefinery and some crates can be found. This map comes in 2 versions: the original "Crossroads" and the "CrossroadsAI" version which is a night version with some slight changes in terrain and the AlmostHumanAI script.

Urban Arena

 A 4 player map, with 1 main city arena in the centre, and four smaller arenas, each with oil derricks, in between the bases. Each base has 3 enterences and plenty of space. There is one supply dock in each base and 4 more in the city arena. All bases have a road running directly to a roundabout in the middle. Unconventional design, but maximum fun. Despite the dense city area, the whole map only has around 350 objects, keeping the frame rate high.

Mountain Raiders

 This is a 4 player map with medium space to build your base. There are 4 additional Supply Depots in the middle of the map to gain control of. But you must fight for them. Other players needs the Supplys too. And four Oil Derricks between two bases. There is a train that circles the map as well.

Special Ops

 This is a 2v2 north vs south map each team starts on opposite shores with a large fast moving river in between and only 1 large main bridge in the center. however there are also islands in the river which are an advantage once captured as GLA and China have no way to transport troops in each corner there is a cavern type place with allied supply centers to capture and use to help transport your units around the battlefield. There is plenty of money to get you started on this map but as the battle rages you might find that you will need extra the islands that have Oil Derricks. Caverns in the corner are a good source of cash (and not bad spot to hide valuable buildings). There is a small town and civilian airport on each side to garrison. This map is aimed at making you attack with more than just loads of tanks...try flying your troops in and attacking...or fly in early and get building on the opponents side.

Rock Quarry

 This map is exclusive to CNCNZ.com
A fantasy style 2 player skirmish map. Bases are located down in the Rock Quarry and are hard to access but easy to defend. You start with only one Supply Dock but you can get extra from the four Oil Derricks. The battle will be decided by the player who controls both Scud Storms! This map uses RVMECH's Almost Human AI script.

Tora Bora

 This is a five player skirmish map set in the infamous area of Tora Bora (Afghanistan) where Osama Bin Laden was said to be hiding. The terrain consists of elevated plateaus, mountainous regions, and valleys where extra resources are located. Another note is that when you put the GLA in the middle, they build tunnel networks and stinger sites on the hills in true Taliban style.

The Strip

 A 2 player skirmish map situated on the Las Vegas Strip famous for it's casino and hotels with only moderate built space (unless you create more). Because of the map design you're only mission is to "Hunt Fast & Hard"
and if you don't the enemy will! To improve skirmish play RVMECH's great Almost Human AI script has been installed.
