The Allies: Units
Since the last war against the Soviets, the Allies have developed some powerful new additions to the Allied force. Below you can find descriptions of the units.
| G.I. |
Description: Fires from bunker with heavy machinegun or in standing position. Does moderate damage versus all types of structure and unit. The backbone of the allies.
| Engineer |
Description: Can be used to instantly repair a building and to capture an enemy or civilian building. Weak and unarmed, Engineers are best mobilized in an enemy base after all defenses are wiped out.
| Attack Dog |
Description: Leaping attack at all infantry, unable to attack machine units.
Can detect and kill incoming spies automatically, excellent for base defense versus early troop drops.
| Rocketeer |
Description: Fires from air to ground with a machine gun. Excellent for attacking early in the game before ground to air defense is established.
| Spy |
Description: Attack click assumes identity of targeted ally or enemy. Steals cash, technology, and sabotages power and radar.
| Tanya |
Description: Relies on handgun and C4 explosives. Excellent for use in defense, kills most infantry before they can enter range and attack.
| Chrono Legionnaire |
Description: Attacks with a disassembling beam, teleports instead of walking. Best if brought in behind an enemy base where defense is nill, long wait times before use are crippling.
| Chrono Commando |
Description: Built by infiltrating a spy into allied Battle Lab. Attacks with an automatic rifle and C4 explosives.
Essentially a Navy Seal but with Chrono teleport technology. Very effective on offense.
| PSI Commando |
Description: Built by infiltrating a spy into an Ally Battle Lab. Has no attack, but can exert mind control over one enemy unit. Useless for offense, but has the ability to stop a 6 Prism Tank rush.
| Navy Seal |
Description: Built by infiltrating a spy into a Soviet Battle Lab. Attacks with an automatic rifle and C4 explosives.
Only available during the allied campaign, but an excellent offensive and defensive weapon.
| Sniper |
Description: Long range sniper rifle. Slow reload times balance out a weapon that will kill most infantry in one shot. Their range is nearly twice that of the average machine gun.
| Grizzly Bear Tank |
Description: Tank cannon, ability to roll over and kill all infantry, similar to all other tanks. Weak compared to the Rhino Heavy Tank the soviets start with, excellent for squashing attackers.
| I.F.V |
Description: Base attack is a missile rack, garrisoned infantry can change it to repair, mind control, or machine gun.
Machine gun I.F.V.'s are a solid, mobile pillbox. Engineers make repair I.F.V.s that repair all tanks.
| Prism Tank |
Description: Prism technology on wheels. Very weak versus other tanks(will lose against a War Miner 3 on 1), but devastating versus structures.
| Mirage Tank |
Description: Laser cannon that sets infantry on fire and pierces into other tanks. Once stopped, assumes the appearance of local fauna. Superior defense versus tanks.
| Tank Destroyer |
Description: Armor piercing cannon. Excellent defensive weapons, and very effective against War/Chrono miners.
| MCV |
Description: Unable to attack, when deployed becomes a construction yard. Requires a Supply Depot to build from a War Factory.
| Nighthawk Transport |
Description: Machine gun attack, only from air to ground. Best when used for transporting engineers to enemy buildings. Not recommended for attacks.
| Harrier |
Description: Air to surface attack missile, devastating in groups. Requires a 15 second reload period after 1 attack, but can swarm and overwhelm an enemy base.
| Black Eagle Jet |
Description: Air to surface attack missile, more powerful than Harrier. Faster than the harrier, with significantly more armor. Best quick strike weapon.
| Amphibious Transport |
Description: Lacks any form of attack, simply for transport. Largest carrying capacity available. Slower moving than the Nighthawk Transport.
| Destroyer |
Description: Cannon attack versus other ships, airplane/missile attack versus underwater units.
An excellent water defense unit. Also effective against infantry wandering near the shores.
| Dolphin |
Description: Sonic attack versus water units. Best defense available versus giant squid and submarines.
| Aegis Cruiser |
Description: Best missile defense system available. Only attacks sea to air. Can shoot down enemy aircraft, missiles, or miniature aircraft (from destroyers and carriers).
| Aircraft Carrier |
Description: Holds three intruder planes that fire a barrage of missiles from long range. Can wipe out fleets as well as attack a fairly entrenched base from the shoreline.
