What is RSS?
To distribute headlines and stories, CNCNZ.com provides the popular news syndication format called RSS. RSS (or Really Simple Syndication) feeds are free content feeds from web sites, that contain article headlines, summaries and links back to full-text articles on the web.

What do I need to get to use RSS?
To start using one of these feeds, you need a special news reader or aggregator that displays RSS content feeds from the Web sites you select. There are many different news readers available, many of which are free of charge. Most are available as desktop software that you download and install on your computer. Several Web-based news readers are available as well. If you're a Windows user you might want to consider the free FeedReader. Mac users might want to check out NetNewsWire.

Why should I use RSS?
RSS is an easy way for you to be alerted when content that interests you appears on your favorite web sites. Click on the section title link to obtain the RSS URL, which you will see in the \"Address\" field of of your browser. Simply copy this URL and follow the instructions for your particular news reader to subscribe.

How can I sign up for RSS feeds from CNCNZ.com?
There are many way to use the feeds provided by CNCNZ.com, we have supplied some information below to help you get the feeds working in your web browser.

Mozilla Firefox users should see the RSS icon appear like this in their address bar....


Click on the icon to add a "Live Bookmark", it will display the latest news headlines in your bookmarks list, like the image below....


Users of Internet Explorer should see the same RSS icon highlight on their tool bar....


Select the name of the feed from the drop down menu to subscribe to the news feed, once you have added the feed you should see a page like the image below....


The Opera browser also supports the use of RSS news feeds, unfortunately we are not able to provide a guide to using it at this time. You should be able to find information about in the Opera Tutorials section on the Opera site.

If your using Internet Explorer 6 or a browser that doesn't support RSS/Live Bookmarking you will need an external application to to view the news feed. See the questions above for more.
